Jorge Alejandro Carrillo Ugalde, CIPP/A, CIPP/C, CIPP/E, CIPP/G, CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT, FIP.
Jorge Carrillo, Ph.D., has been helping organizations across Europe in assessing, designing, implementing, and improving their IT cyber-security practice for more than 18 years. His major focus is on Cybersecurity and Data Protection, however, he has been involved in other compliance areas, such as IT Audit, PCI, SOX, and Accessibility. He is an active guest Lecturer at several universities – sharing good practices and methodologies in Privacy by Design, Agile, and other Project Management Methodologies.
Jorge finished his first degree in Mexico, getting into the Mathematical Fundamentals for Cryptanalysis of the Vigenere Cipher.
The idea of “protection” kept moving his curiosity, and he landed in the Czech Republic, in a lovely city – Brno.
Moreover, Jorge finished the Ph.D. program at Masaryk University, where afterward he got involved in several European projects in the area of Information Security and Data Protection.
One big part of Jorge’s learning was influenced by the constant cooperation with different universities.
So for more than 18 years, he has engaged in several security and data protection projections. He had then been participating in the past years in several international conferences and workshops. All these opportunities gave him the possibility to learn more, exchange knowledge within the community, meet amazing people from the IT security industry, and enhance his professional profile.
Jorge became a passionate trainer in many areas related to Data Protection and Information Security.
