Biography
René Vergé is responsible for information security and technology risk at Bombardier Aerospace. He’s also Cofounder and CEO at VoD2, a Montréal startup dedicated to research, development and commercialization of highly secure cloud solutions, for organizations and the public at large. Previously, he acted as Information Security Officer at Desjardins, Consulting Lawyer with a Montreal law and patent agent firm, Cofounder and Managing Partner at e-Risk and Landry Vergé & Associates, and Vice President and Director, Consulting Services, for Fujitsu and CGI.
René holds a Bachelor in Economics and Spanish from Concordia University, a Bachelor of Laws from University of Montreal, and pursued graduate law studies at McGill University and The Hague Academy of International Law. He was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1993 and hold CIPP/C, CISA and CISSP certifications. He is co-author of the book entitled “Governance, Audit and Security of Information Technologies”, published by CCH, Wolters Kluwer in 2008.
