There is a song called “Wake Me Up When September Ends,” and somehow, at this point, it feels like it was written about us. Because when October hits, we all know what that means: yes, we are flying to Rome.
The PECB Conference is almost here, and there are so many things we would love to tell you about. But it wouldn’t be fair to spoil all the surprises, the conversations, the energy, and all the good times waiting for us at the conference.
What we can do, though, is give you a heads-up on what you really don’t want to miss.
And when we say “don’t miss,” we mean it. Being in the room while these sessions take place could easily become one of those conference moments you remember later and say, “Oh, I remember hearing about this at the PECB Conference.”
So, let’s walk you through five sessions we think you should make sure to be in the room for:
Offensive & Defensive AI Security: Prompt Injection, AI-Driven Threat Hunting, and Reverse Engineering – Workshop led by Matija Veriċ
A special hands-on workshop run entirely by RangeForce Labs, exploring how AI is changing both sides of the security equation, from prompt injection and AI-driven threat hunting to reverse engineering.
Understanding the EU AI Act: Rewriting the Rules for the Future of AI – AMA led by Anja Wyrobek
The EU AI Act is already changing the way organizations think about AI. This Ask Me Anything is an opportunity to go beyond the headlines and get closer to what these changes actually mean.
Identity Crisis: Deepfake KYC Failures — Reverse to In-Person or Trust AI Detection? – A Live Duel
with Eleonora Rocca, Aaron Kalvani & Maha Al Saadi
Deepfakes are making identity verification more complicated than ever. But what happens when the solution itself becomes part of the problem? This Live Duel brings two contrasting perspectives into the room and puts the question directly on the table.
The Quantum Deadline: Leading the Quantum-Safe Transition — Talk led by André M. König
Quantum computing may still feel like something from the future, but the security implications are already something organizations need to think about. This session explores what the quantum transition could mean for cybersecurity and why preparing early matters.
Strengthening National Cyber Resilience: A Practical Experience — Fireside Chat with Alex Carroll & Phedra Clouner
Cyber resilience is not only about technology. It is also about people, coordination, preparedness, and what happens when theory meets real-world challenges. This fireside chat brings a practical perspective to the conversation.
Now, you might be wondering: out of all the sessions at the conference, why these five?
Well, first of all, we had to choose only five. If we had it our way, we would probably tell you to attend them all. But with so many sessions happening across the conference, we know that sometimes you have to make a choice.
And these five give you a little bit of everything.
EU AI regulation, Quantum security, deepfakes and identity, national cyber resilience, prompt injection and offensive and defensive AI security. They are some of the topics shaping conversations across cybersecurity, AI, governance, and technology right now, and they are already changing the way organizations think, operate, and prepare for what comes next.
So when the time comes, make sure you’re in the room. Because some sessions are worth more than a spot on the agenda, they’re the ones you’ll remember long after Rome.
